Day 28: 2020-11-16 Finished

Image
Day 28: 2020-11-16 Finished Today I finished the film, sooner than I thought. I spent the first quarter finishing the intro, the 2nd quarter color adjusting it, then the 3rd quarter of today making sure the audio is good. (With the headphones I have I cant tell for sure if the audio is perfect but it is good from listening to it through my headphones. Here what the color looks like throughout the movie. As you can tell by the picture below, the color made a big difference before and after. Here is the intro behind my body as I walk in front of it. There is alot of errors in this intro scene because I had to work on this scene frame by frame or every few frames so it turned out the words are moving sometimes over my body and then way behind my body in some parts, but unless you watch it multiple times it should not be a problem.

Day 27: 2020-11-13 adding the title

Image
Day 27: 2020-11-13 adding the title Today I spent the entire class adding the title to the beginning of the film, I am almost done but I will have to continue next class. Here is me tracking the parts on my body that cover the text. To save time I am only working on the parts that cover the text. Here is what it looks like so far. This is the tracking that took a while and still did a bad job. next class I will be continuing to add the title screen (im guessing will take 1 to 2 more classes). Then I will finalize the sound and color (which will take under 1 class for both) and then im done.

Day 26: 2020-11-10 Your feedback

Image
Day 26: 2020-11-10 Your feedback Surprisingly Adobe Lightroom was much easier than expected (and after watching only 1 tutorial) I have finished adobe Lightroom and the film is almost complete. My usb stick is full so everything is saved onto this computer and will be put on a bigger usb stick for the next class I will be here which is Friday (As I wont be in class Thursday) One error after changing the lighting is this blog (originally the nightlight) is seen when the scene starts when originally it fades from black to the nightlight. To fix this problem I will be opening it in premiere cutting that scene and transform it into a fade opening. I had to work around this problem in Lightroom as you are not able to edit videos on this program. What I did to get around this is to frame a scene from the film and edit the one frame and when I am done it will copy the color edits from that scene to all the scenes in the film. Here is the scene after I edited it. Here is the scene origina...

Day 25: 2020-9-11 Exported rough copy

Image
Day 25: 2020-9-11 Exported rough copy Today I started off finishing the volume in premiere and I have finished with half the day left (Surprised as I thought it will take a few days). Once I finished that I have exported it to my usb stick several times, with the first 2 times not finishing because of an error or the file finished but it finished corrupted. 3rd times the charm the video exported successfully. My one concern is that the movie is to quiet, I will watch the video at home to see if it is to quiet. If it is I will fix it next class. Here is what the film looks like completed. This is what it looks like after exporting it. Here is the error I got when trying to import my film into Adobe Lightroom, It didn't work. I am currently re-exporting the film in a different format ( avi ) to see if it will work. The longest it took to export the film was 8 minutes. This was a failed attempt as this file didn't work when exporting the film. I will be watching the video at home...

Day 24: 2020-11-6 finished the beginning of the audio

Image
Day 24: 2020-11-6 finished the beginning of the audio     Today I have put all the audio I wanted into the film and it is all in the correct places. I have spent all class organizing and gathering the correct audio I wanted to use. Here is what the clips look like all finished, the only changes I will be making that will affect these clips will be the volume of the audio. Some are louder than the other's. I am working in the audio section of premiere to make all the audio the same volume as all the others and making the jump scares a bit louder. I am also making it easier for me to understand when I get back from the weekend, I am (for now) organizing the audio. The background music will be at the bottom, the jump scares will be on the top and etc. I spent around half the day organizing where the clips will be going and the rest working on the volume of the clips. For Monday I will be continuing to make all the scenes the correct amount of how loud it is, and I am expect...

Day 23: 2020-11-5 Start of soundtrack

Image
Day 23: 2020-11-5 Start of soundtrack     Today I spent the entire class adding soundtrack to the film. I think this will take me half the week or a little bit more, as I have an hour of soundtrack to sort into a 3 minute film. This is the view of my desktop as I am listening to the original soundtrack, viewing it, then seeing if it will fit in the scene I want it in. Then if the soundtrack fits I will place and move it around. I am going to worry about the volume of each soundtrack when finished. I also tried using the "Audio" setting in premiere but with too little experience I have gave up and when back to "Effects" to add them on there. I will be using "Audio" setting to change the volume of each soundtrack when done. For tomorrow's class I will be continuing to add soundtrack to the film, and I will probably be doing that for the next few days.

Day 22: 2020-11-04 finished premiere edits

Image
Day 22: 2020-11-04 finished premiere edits Today I spent around 2 1/2 - 3 hours working in premiere to finish everything I need on it. I have finished editing, adding transitions, track separate scenes and more. I first tried to make my eyes a red demon color from using after effect and tracking the eyes, but after multiple attempts it did not work so I gave up on it.     I then tried in premiere to track the eyes and make it but the tracking button was not working so I gave up on that too (I was watching tutorials and they were not working for me). I found out how to make it work properly as the problem was the clips were sped up when they have to be non edited first. I then tracked the eyes to make them red. Here is the finishing touched on my eyes making them a red color, throughout the scene they will be fading color with the background. The eyes change throughout the scene. This is the beginning of the scene when the lights just turned on so the eyes faded to normal...

Day 21: 2020-11-3 finished editing the clips

Image
Day 21: 2020-11-3 finished editing the clips     Today I have finished editing the clips in premiere pro. There is one clip I could not finish because of a glitch on the program which with tracking opacity mask on my eyes in one scene, it would not track. To solve this problem I will try to do that scene on my old laptop. I have also tried to do that clip in after effect but I do not have enough experience to do that in after effect.  In this clip I am trying to use the opacity tracking mask tool to make my eyes invisible but after multiple tries in premiere I could not get it to track (pressing the track play button). I have also tried in after effect but without enough experience I have failed. To fix this I will be working on this clip on my home computer.     Here is the same thing with after effect but I forgot the required tools needed to make it work properly so I have failed this clip in after effect. Here is the process of me trying to save a...

Day 20: 2020-11-2 finalizing premiere

Image
Day 20: 2020-11-2 finalizing premiere          Today I have finished all the editing in premiere including all the greenscreen and cropping / masking which means I am 3 (1/2) /4 done. Here was the final touches on masking my reflection's hand without my body getting in the way. here is what the clips look like all complete. Here was a quick thing I added, I was suppose to make a pare of hands come out of the mirror and grab me but I have forgot to film that so I have took my arms from a green screen scene. The only problem with that is the green screen is covering half of my arm on the bottom side. for tomorrow I will be double checking the scenes in premiere and then I will move to adobe lightroom.
