Day 12: 2020-10-20 after effect rotoscope

Day 12: 2020-10-20 after effect rotoscope

Today I was able to crop everything except by body to have the mirror behind me, I have done this using the rotoscope tool in after effect, I also fixed some color in some scenes but I spent most of todays class working in after effect.

In this picture I figured out how to crop everything but my body. I am walking down the hallway passing multiple mirrors. How I filmed this scene is me walking down the hallway with no mirrors then I would add the mirrors in separately so you dont see the reflection through the mirror.

here is the scene with the mirror in the background (my body is now on its own scene). Before editing the mirror would show above me instead of behind me and after attempting to fix it in premiere working in after effect for this tool is much easier.

After effect froze around 5-7 times when editing.

Here is another problem I will use in after effect to fix, With the camera angle I am not able to pass the mirror without a direct reflection, when normally depending on the camera angle I can walk past the mirror for a split few seconds before my reflection actually shows, but in this scene the camera was to close to me and the mirror so I will have to cut it frame by frame using after effect of my body walking past this mirror. The only problem with editing this scene is after its 2 separate scenes the brightness is different and changing every few scenes.

Here is the process of the body tracking, after I make a line around my body the tool will try to cut my body out frame by frame (which is also what makes the program freeze).

I have found the missing scene and now in this clip I will be working on the color adjustments (as you can see a slight brightness difference above the left corner of the door going up.

Here is the program freezing agin

for tomorrow I will be continueing to fix the mirror scene in after effect. I have found multiple youtube tutorials that I will be using as I go In after effect.
